Welcome to the Web site to Elect Jason Frayer to City Council Ward III.  I have decided after some long diliberations to seek the office for City Council in Henderson, NV. Ward III.  I invite you to read over this site and contact me if you should have any questions or comments.  Please remember to VOTE in the City of Henderson Primary Elections held April 7th, 2009 with early voting beginning Saturday, March 21 and concluding on Friday, April 3, 2009.  You can visit the City's website @ www.cityofhenderson.com for further information.

We have tough times ahead for our country and our local economies.  We need to keep people working, in their homes, strive for a better community, foster business development with appropriate land uses and maintain vital City services to Henderson's ever growing 270,000 population.

BACKGROUND:

My name is Jason Frayer, I am thirty-two years old, married for twelve years (12) to my beautiful wife Jaimee and we have three (3) children: Alexandria (9), Tristan (6) and Kaleb (4).  I have lived in Las Vegas and Henderson since 1986.  I graduated from Green Valley High School in 1994 (2nd graduating class: Motto Second to None.  Go Gators!)  I went to school at CCSN in 1995 and then transferred to Southern Utah University where I received my undergraduate degree with dual majors in History and Political Science in 2001.  I continued with my education and graduated from UNLV with a Master of Arts in US History in December 2004.  Since then I have been working as a business consultant for several wireless providers in the greater Las Vegas Valley and I am also a Part-Time Instructor at the College of Southern Nevada where I teach a few courses in American History.  In September 2006 my family made Henderson our permanent residence when we bought our first house (we still live here) and like many of you out there want clean neighborhoods, safe schools and a family environment to raise our children and live our lives. 

MY PLEDGE:

• To continue to make Henderson a great place to work and live.
• If elected, I promise to hold weekly informal meetings in Ward III to listen to residents concerns/issues and a meet & greet for individuals in the community to become more involved in their local governments.. 
• Promote and encourage more family business' to develop in Henderson to spure the economy but also foster family and friendship.
